What’s New in Campfire?

1. Seamless Project Linking

In the past, understanding the "why" behind a technical decision could mean digging through endless email chains. Our new updates bring that context directly into your records.

  • Requirement to Decision Linking: We’ve introduced two-way lookups between requirements and Campfire decisions. When a technical gap is resolved, the "why" stays attached to the "what," giving both the implementation team and the customer total transparency.
  • Build Cycle Alignment: You can now link projects directly to build cycles. This creates a high-level dashboard view that lets you track progress, start dates, and end dates across your entire project phase in one place.

2. Efficiency at Scale: Admin Automation

Managing a large-scale project means dealing with shifting workloads. To save you from the "one-by-one" click fatigue, we’ve introduced two major bulk-action tools:

  • Mass Reassign Configuration Owner: Need to rebalance the workload because a team member is over-capacity? You can now reassign multiple requirements across different owners in a single flow.
  • Mass Update Client Review Status: Tracking approvals just got faster. Instead of updating individual statuses, you can now bulk-mark requirements as "Ready for Review" or "Completed" once the client gives the green light.

3. Real-Time Visibility & Reporting

We’ve removed the manual math from your deployment and testing cycles. The 2025 updates introduce intelligent counters and progress bars that do the heavy lifting for you.

  • Automated Testing Metrics: On the Test Event record, you’ll find a new "Event Progress" section. With the click of a single checkbox, the system calculates pass/fail percentages and raw numbers across your unit, QA, or end-to-end testing.
  • Deployment Counters: On the requirement level, Campfire now automatically tracks the number of configuration items and deployment tasks. As you build or delete records, these numbers update in real-time, giving you an immediate sense of the requirement’s complexity.
